Outreach Kits

    Outreach Kit Booking Form

    Please include pick up and drop off dates.
Submit
Bring the Museum to your classroom with our outreach kits! qMAS offers educational kits, panel exhibits, and guided studies for educators in a variety of settings. 
  • to book an outreach kit, please submit a booking request form online, or by contacting us by email at programs@qathetmuseum.ca, or by telephone at 604-485-2222
  • minimum of 2 weeks notice required
  • kits are available throughout the year ​​
Fees
  • $25.00 for a 14-day loan
  • $60.00 for a 30 day loan ​
Pick Up & Drop-Off
Outreach kits can be picked up and dropped off at the Museum front desk during regular operating hours: Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Please note that we are closed on Mondays and Statutory Holidays. 

The person who books the kit is responsible for it's return to the Museum. If the person who is picking up or dropping off the kit is not the person who booked it, please let us know in advance.

Kits are easily transported in a car. You are responsible for protecting kit contents from excessive moisture and other agents of deterioration. 

*Shipping is not available and the kits cannot be pick-up by couriers or mailed. 
Late Returns & Damages
Before returning a kit, please check that all materials are included and carefully packed. You are responsible for any lost or damaged items and may be charged up to a $100.00 replacement fee for items that are lost or for extensive damage.

Kits should be returned to the Museum by 3:00 pm on the due date indicated on the invoice. There is a late return fee of $10.00 per day. Kits returned before the due date will not receive any refund.
Changes & Cancellations
​If you are unable to pick up or return a kit on the scheduled date, or if you decide to cancel your reservation, please call us immediately. Cancellations or changes should be made at least one week (7 days) before the scheduled pick-up date; changes are subject to availability.

Teach students about local place names of the Tla'amin Nation and the history of use for each site! Available in both French and English. 

Includes:
  • Exhibit panel of place names & floor length easel
  • Computer station with place name information & audio files
  • Various worksheets and activities for different levels of comprehension​
